White Rum No.1

Origin - The Dominican Republic & Jamaica

White Rum no.1 is an unaged, blended rum comprising of two elements from two popular rum-producing nations:

The Dominican Republic (unaged) - Distilled from molasses and sugarcane juice in a column still. This method of production creates a wonderfully light, higher ABV liquid with mild sweetness coupled with delightfully refreshing vegetal and grassy notes.

Jamaica (unaged) - Distilled exclusively from molasses in a pot still and then again in a column still. Distillation in a pot creates a heavily flavoured liquid (known as a 'low mark' distillate). Redistillation in a column still helps remove some of the heavier and less favourable flavour compounds resulting in a spirit that possesses a lighter intensity but still has a funky depth of flavour.
